We are a U.S and Canada based company that invented the first tire shredder in the world back in the 1960’s and was the original inventors and promoters of the Saturn and SSI and the Eidal shredder lines. We know what is needed for a recycling plant, especially tire recycling plants.

Parts and Service – Important Information

The first comment we make, on the phone, or on the internet, or in person: If you want a new machine or shredding system we can provide you with data and pricing immediately.

If you want to repair your shredder, or need to buy parts for your shredder, we have a process for you to follow.

To repair your shredder you must send your shredder to our group for a review for pricing and quotations. Most people perform their own repair and we cannot make a cost estimate without viewing the equipment.

To obtain repair parts for your shredder you must send us the part, or parts, for our group to review for pricing and quotations.

If you need to send a partial or full machine to our group for review, we will provide you with the address of our closest repair facility where we can perform the review.

We have contract machine shops all over USA, Canada and many all over the world.

For USA and Canada, you can send all parts to our group at:

1215 Bloomington street

This is a receiving depot for our basic parts services.

We also request written communication with our group via e mail, to confirm what you want, and what you expect from our company.

We will evaluate a worn or broken part that is shipped to our group, by our engineering team. There are many different variations of the Shred Pax shredders that have been built over the last 40 years.

If you do not know what you own, we need the centre to centre distance of the two shafts and the length and width of the shredding chamber at the cutters.

To ensure that we make the proper part and to ensure our pricing accuracy, we need the actual part or parts for your machine, worn out or not. We need the part to review, or we need your manufacturing drawing of the part, or parts.

We cannot proceed in any manner, to provide accurate pricing, and delivery on any machine rebuild until we have the machine, at our plant for review.

Shred Pax was a company based in Chicago for about 30 years and was sold several times to various groups in the United States. In 2008 the company finally was liquidated and our group deals in picking up bankrupt lines and providing service to those lines.

The Series of Shredders known under this Shred-Pax Brand, we now promote and build and sell under the Shred-Pax Brand or under Shred-Pax.com or Shred-Pax-Shredders.com Sites.

We also service any parts or technical needs of the Shred-Pax Brand through our website Shred-Pax.com or Shred-Pax-Shredders.com Sites.

The Main Shredder Line is made of the following Shredders.

We also have new machines that can replace these older models as many times the price of a new machine is lower than the cost to repair or maintain an older machine.

We are not the Original Shred-Pax Company as it has been liquidated…We are the new Shred-Pax-Shredder Company.

Should You Buy A Used Shredder?

Topic is : Should you buy a used shredder…..

Our answer:  We don’t recommend used shredders but we do offer them, but here are issues that must be discussed….

This client comments below, bought from a used equipment dealer, and this is what they got

A machine that was not properly sized or a machine that was ready to break….or both….

This is why you “don’t buy” from a used equipment broker…

You should buy from a Shredder Maker….for some reason we know a bit more about shredders…than most groups.

Brokers don’t know anything about shredders….a sad fact of life.

They just want to make a buck….and sell you anything that you will buy….and will make promises that they can’t keep…

Besides they sell ”as is and where is” so you have no recourse.

Here is the data from a client…..word for word…..their comments:

And if you want to know who they are we can provide that data…as proof that it’s not a made up comment.

It’s a real e-mail comment…

Data from client:

Basically we own a shred pax az15.

We purchased it used about 8 months ago and used it 4 times.

We use it to shred hard drives in large volume.

We seem to have broken one of the shafts and about 10 blades need to be replaced.

One we are trying to find replacement parts and we are also looking at the option on purchasing something else.

Of course we are trying to repair first especially bc we just made the investment into the machine less than a year ago.

Maybe we can have a conversation tomm?

Thanks Mike.

Reflect on this when you decide to buy a used shredder from a broker or dealer.

Call us to see what we can offer you at the same price or what we can guarantee you.
